But His Lips Never Move!!!

Community Resources, Inc. is blessed to partner with many wonderful individuals and organizations as we strive to bring high quality educational programs to the students of Denver Public Schools.

Topping that list is Mark Hellerstein, an extraordinary ventriloquist and puppeteer, who delights children of all ages with his wonderful programs. His characters Willy the Worm and Pansy take students on Adventures in Reading. Each of his many characters bring uncontrollable laughter from young and old alike. Mark is always part of the Art Days that CRI creates and frequently performs at DPS elementary schools bringing learning and laughs to all.

Mark’s fascination with, and commitment to, ventriloquism began at the age of 10 when he came across a book by Paul Winchell in the library. Ever since then, he has studied vent experts, worked with mentors including David Copperfield, and practiced, practiced, practiced! Although his primary career was in the oil and gas industry, he never stopped honing his craft. He rehearses each skit at least 100 times before performing it publicly. To say that he is a master ventriloquist is an understatement.

Mark is a long-time supporter of Community Resources’ work and has served on our Board of Directors. He is a partner who never says, “no” when asked if he can be part of a CRI event. Mark is a living example of a person who discovered his life passion, thus bringing joy not only to his life, but also to the lives of all who have the chance to experience one of his performances.

Thank you, Mark, for all that you do!!!
