“Mrs. Miller is in the House”

With this simple statement, teachers and students knew that their beloved storyteller, Marilyn Miller, had arrived and would soon be visiting their classroom with her captivating stories.

On Friday, September 16, 2022 Marilyn Miller died peacefully in her home. At 91 years young, Marilyn touched the lives of multiple generations of children as both an elementary school teacher and a volunteer storyteller. Community Resources, Inc. was fortunate to work with Marilyn over a span of 25 years as she traveled to schools all over Denver as a guest storyteller. She told stories to all ages, and students were entranced from the first anticipated line “...A long, long, time ago and far, far away because that is the way all stories begin…”

Mrs. Miller has left the house…we will miss your mischievous smile, delightful stories, and unstoppable spirit.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marilyn's honor to the Denver Hospice by visiting: www.thedenverhospice.org or to Spellbinders by visiting: www.spellbinders.org
