Community Resources’ Academic Mentors Project:
Now Accepting Nominations for the 2025–26 School Year!
The Academic Mentors Project provides highly motivated, high-achieving DPS students in grades 5–12 (who are at least 10 years old) with the opportunity to explore a career or field of interest beyond the regular classroom curriculum. Selected students are paired with exceptional community volunteers who share their interests or work in their chosen field.

Steps to Nominate a Student
The nomination process includes three required forms. Only complete submissions will be considered:
Teacher Form – To be completed by a DPS teacher or administrator to nominate a student.
Student Form – Completed by the nominated student to help identify a mentor aligned with their interests.
Parent/Guardian Form – Completed by a parent or guardian to provide additional information and consent for participation.
Parent/Guardian Forms are available in multiple languages:
